Where Can I Get A Free Fan
The summer oestrus tin can be dangerous, especially for seniors. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 658 people die annually from extreme heat.
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is helping senior adults cope with the heat past offering free fans at 7 Park and Recreation Community Centers and senior centers.
Individuals aged 60 and better, and those aged eighteen to 59 who receive disability income, can register to pick up a fan while supplies last. You are required to show a valid commuter'southward license or state ID providing proof of age and a current Mecklenburg County address when picking up a fan. Limit one fan per person.
The fans are provided through a grant from Duke Energy. Registration is required. No walk-ups. Yous tin register by calling the telephone number of one of the recreation centers.
1 free fan per person.
